On July 22 Serieforlaget Egmont decided to mark publication number 829 of Beetle Bailey in a special way.
And what is so special about publication number 829? – Yes, Mort Walker has dedicated this release to the Danes, and named it “Beetle Bailey in Copenhagen”.
Egmont contacted Bamsefabrikken to reproduce the famous cartoon characters as beautiful and recognizable costumes.
These costumes would provide a framework for a PR campaign in Tivoli Copenhagen on July 22, 2009.
Beetle Baily willingly met the press and gave interviews, and after the session was over he struck loose in the park where he tested the attractions.
